How to Properly Use a Earth Auger

An earth auger, also known as a post hole digger, is a useful tool for digging holes in soil or clay. Step 2: Inspect the earth auger before use. Check for any damage or signs of wear and tear. Make sure all the bolts and screws are tightened and the blades are sharp.

Step 3: Mark the location where you want to dig the hole. Use a stake or a marker to identify the spot where you want to place the post, tree, or mailbox.
